I am glad the convention is over. ^_^ I had a lot of fun cosplaying for the most part, though I think the Sheraton is too small to house A-Kon now.

I had three costumes this year; the fourth I'd brought with me to pre-reg, but since I was in and out in under 15 minutes? No need to wear it. I wore Umi Ryuuzaki from Magic Knight Rayearth on Friday, which I hope to have pics posted of soon (I'm waiting for Eurobeat King to upload them, haha), Lina Inverse from Slayers on Saturday, and Saori Kido/Athena on Sunday.

Honestly, I'm really flattered--Eurobeat King took my photos on Friday and Sunday, and would have done so Saturday if he'd been able to catch up with me. Also, I had a professional photographer take a couple dozen shots of my Umi cosplay for a book he's writing about cosplayers at anime conventions, so I might actually appear in print! Wow! I'm completely, totally humbled by the experience. I don't do cosplay to show off--I do it because I love creating things, and I love the look on people's faces when they see their favorite characters brought to life.

I'm not entirely sure if I'll cosplay next year; I find great pleasure in creating things--more so than wearing them myself. I will let the young'uns wear my art, and I will be content with possibly running a couple of Costuming 101 panels next year, or working a table doing alterations and repairs on site. We'll see. I'd actually considered doing a Princess Azula cosplay next year, along with a Yoruichi from Bleach, but I think I'm getting ahead of myself. One year at a time.

I do take commissions on a limited basis--after all, I have a full time job as well ^^ and our whole department is working overtime for the next 6 weeks since a couple people are out on a leave of absence.
